Again, a lot of things happened!

Hi there!
July and august were full of events and hard work, that we couldn't find a gap to relax and post something. So basically we will sum up the last four weeks for you! For those of you who subscribed to our youtube channel, you already know what things happened. Please enjoy reading~ :)

July 18  ✽ ✾ ✿ ❁ ❃ ❋ ❀
It was time to work as maids! We worked in the Maid Café "Sweet Heaven" at the Ongaku Matsuri in Berlin. It was soo damn hot! But still we gave our best and we also had a few newbies who helped us. We offered ice coffee, ice cocoa and smoothies! The incredible matcha lime cake made by Mellow (and Nhi) was sold after a few minutes! We love it so much that's why we want to thank every occasion that makes it possible to be a maid.~ If you are interested in the café team you can like us on facebook! https://www.facebook.com/Sweet.Heaven.Berlin

July 25/26 ✽ ✾ ✿ ❁ ❃ ❋ ❀

At the end of July we got the chance to meet an odorite, a dancer. Her name ist Anna and she stayed for one week in our hometown. We spent two days together, one for practice and a spontaneous trip to an okonomiyaki restaurant and on sunday we recorded our dance cover of °C-ute's "The Middle Management". We all put clothes on that were similar so the ones in the PV. We enjoyed doing some business look. You can watch the dance cover here! Thank you Anna <3

August 1 ✽ ✾ ✿ ❁ ❃ ❋ ❀
On August 1st we had a very important appointment. Pastel Girls participated in their very first k-pop dance cover contest and it even was held world wide! Yes we are so damn nervous... We went to hamburg and performed our dance cover of Ladies' Code's "Kiss Kiss". Unfortunately we didn't get the chance to participate in the second round, but it was an impressive event anyway. We learned more about dancing, we met a lot of talented and kind people. It was amazing watching all those people dance and enjoy korean pop music. It was a great community feeling! We filmed our trip to hamburg. You can watch it on Youtube!

August 8/9 ✽ ✾ ✿ ❁ ❃ ❋ ❀
The weekend after our contest experience we had to transform into maids again as we were working for the Maid Café "Sweet Heaven" at the Pop Asia Barcamp in Berlin. Pastel Girls also performed some j-pop, kpop and odotte mita songs live! There were another dance groups so we enjoyed their performances also! Lauri made a wonderful video about our Barcamp experience! Watch it on youtube!

DoKomi Day 1 - Saturday

Hello girls and boys!!

We are back from the DoKomi, Anime&Manga Convention in Düsseldorf Germany. We had a very safe trip by plane and train. So everything went well !! So lucky~

On the first day we were pretty nervous because around 3pm the Dance Off Contest started. Previously they showed two videos of Melochin, Apricot, Tadanon, Bouto = dancers from Japan in which they encouraged all participants with a sweet message~
You can watch the message videos here at the beginning -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4kYdcBd6jbM
Because we were so nervous we did not have time so walk around that much or buy a lot. We practiced two times in a secret corner and then we waited for the contest to begin. Backstage we met all the other dancers and even made a group photo. Then the contest started!

We were #8 and already most of the groups peformed their dances. We enjoyed the most of them! They were pretty funny some of them were awesome with so much skills!

We were a little bit unsure when exactly the results would come out. So we wanted to be safe and after Machigeritas concert we sat down again in the great hall to wait for the award ceremony. Indeed it was the right time! Last year they hold the ceremony on sunday.

In the end we won 4th place and were mega happy! We also were pretty happy about the first place winners because they are from the same city and did a fantastic performance! After the whole award ceremony we talked to the other dancers. Some of them broke out in tears it was so heartbreaking to see them cry. They gave their best but the jury seemed not to be familiar with odottemita/odorite , that's what we guess!

We hope that next year there will be a better contest with some guidelines to follow because it makes it easier for all dancers and the jury to compare and judge

Have a look at our peformance! See you again in the next entry we talk about DoKomi day 2 <3 Bai baii!!!

Well we have been practicing a lot for this moment! And hopefully it will turn out great so we can enthuse the audience~ BTW where are all the WOTAS??? Prepare yourself for our idol-performance ❤❤❤

We even made our own clothes for the Dance Off Contest. How do you like them? Sandy and Lauri wearing them for our final practice!

Have you missed some of our newest videos? Make sure to subscribe.~ You can also win some very cute merchandise and stationery if you watch this video carefully.

Sandy and Lauri are dancing to the funny dance Youkai Exercise. Minah gets nosebleeds from all the uniform-cuteness <3 Watch it! (BTW the pink uniform was Sandys birthday present. It suits her well, don't you think?)

And if you want to know something about sewing some cute accessory on your own, you can follow Minahs bow tutorial on our channel.

POP ASIA Barcamp!

PastelGirls united!
Sandy, Rina, Lauri, Minah
Minna~~~~~~ konnichiwa!!

Shortly after the Japan Festival we were invited to perform live at the POP ASIA Barcamp in Berlin. We also mentioned it in our last entry.

But we did not only perform live, we also kinda worked as Maids and supported the catering of the Barcamp. Therefore we prepared a lot of sweet cakes and cupcakes. Lu and Nhi also helped out <3 They were really sweet and hard working!

We arrived at 10 o'clock and prepared all the maid stuff, then we got changed for our maid costumes. Around 13 o'clock it was lunch time~~~~ Due to an onigiri workshop all visitors got the chance to fill there stomach with soo many delicious rice balls! There even was a kimchi flavoured onigiri <3

At 17 o'clock we started our mini live concert. We introduced our project and also some fan chants from Japan (wotagei). The audience was SO amazing! They were supportive and brave enough to cheer sometimes! We felt soo happy about it! Sometimes the music was hard to hear and it even stopped once but the audience cheered for us and we got our smiles back and tried even harder!

Thank you for watching everyone!!

January is over and all of us are super tired, that's why we even cancelled one practice day. But we have more plans for the future. So we are going to work hard again!

With love, Pastel Girls
